Tulsa Cyber Camp 2024 camp is focused on introducing and applying cybersecurity concepts and motivating participants to pursue cybersecurity careers. This camp is open to any high school student who is interested in diving into cybersecurity.

How many students will attend the camp?

A total of twenty-four (24) student participants will be served by Tulsa Cyber Camp 2024.

Does this camp teach my child / student to become “a hacker”?

No. One does not become a hacker in a week. But, we do hope that every camp participant will be energized to learn more about a career in the important and broad field of cybersecurity. While the term “hacker” is often used incorrectly as a synonym for “cyber criminal”, this camp uses security scenarios to get participants to focus on thinking like an adversary and include corresponding ethics discussions as well as discussing ways how to secure against the threat by the simplest and most effective means. The use of security scenarios and vignettes allows us to introduce and embed security ethics and ethical decision-making into relatable events. Cybersecurity ethics is embedded in each of the security scenarios and skills introduced during the camp.
